Why do we need support?
We rely heavily on our membership fees and (usually) on funds raised through live performances. However, being a small choir, we sometimes struggle to bring in the revenue required to produce the high quality music that we aspire to making. Our funds are necessary to pay for things such as the hall hire, the fees for our excellent music director and pianist and the copyrights for music.
Despite being challenged by the current COVID-19 pandemic, the strength and enthusiasm that the members, musical director and pianist of Woking Ladies Choir have shown has meant that we have been able to sing via an online platform throughout the year of 2020.
You can support us by coming to our concerts – once Covid allows, or by making a small donation – ‘Every little helps’. We will shortly announce a benefitted friends scheme – details coming soon.
